To learn more about Geocaching, click the link in text below. Are you into Geocaching? There are several geocache sites along or very near Perry Lake Trail. If you enjoy a good hike coupled with a GPS-enabled search for "lost treasures", we have just the place for you!

Not familiar with Geocaching? Think of it as a high-tech hide-and-seek adventure game for GPS users. For the kids or for new GPS users, a cache hunt allows you to explore the navigation features of a gps unit while you search for a specific "waypoint" location. Active geocaching individuals and groups have set up cache sites all over the world and share the locations of these caches with other users. Online sources for cache sites allow you to retrieve the location coordinates for these caches, set up your GPS receiver with the location of the cache sites and find them! Geocaching courtesy applies: If you find a cache site filled with goodies, and choose to take something with you, you should also leave something in the cache for the next person.
