Perry Lake Trail is for HIKERS ONLY. If you see horses/riders on the trail, please report it.

Dedicated equestrian trails are available at Perry Lake on the west side, near Perry State Park. This area is set aside exclusively to meet the needs of equestrian riders. Brushbusters Riding Club holds regular work days at this site to improve and maintain the equine trail network.

Volunteer groups have worked on the equestrian trails weekly all winter, donating hundreds of man hours.  Six miles of the main trail are well cleared, with temporary signs in place. A total of 16.5 miles will be open within Perry State Park, with an additional 17.5 miles to be opened on Corps of Engineers ground in the near future.

For more information on the equestrian trails at Perry, see http://www.grasshoppernet.com/~lkanderson/

Or, contact the State Park or Corps Project Office.
